Test
Use timed mock tests to check recall, speed and accuracy under exam-style conditions.
Study guide
Connect Technical General theory to aircraft systems
Technical General becomes easier when you connect components to their physical purpose: what load or energy they handle, what controls them, and what happens when the system fails. Use the current DGCA syllabus as the scope reference.
Aerodynamics and flight
Link lift, drag, angle of attack, stability, control and performance. Be clear about which variables affect a force and which statements describe a trend rather than a universal rule.
Structures and loads
Understand how skins, spars, ribs, frames and stringers share loads; distinguish limit load, ultimate load, fail-safe, safe-life and damage-tolerant design.
Powerplants and systems
Revise the operating sequence and purpose of major engine, fuel, lubrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and environmental-control components.
Instruments and indications
Study the physical principle behind each instrument, its pressure or electrical source, normal indication, limitations and likely failure indications.
Example concept check
Why does a larger hydraulic actuator piston produce more force at the same system pressure?
Answer: Because force equals pressure multiplied by piston area (F = P × A).
At constant pressure, a larger piston area produces a proportionally larger force. This does not mean the larger actuator necessarily moves faster; speed also depends on flow rate and area.
